The Wildwood Theatre 

The Wildwood is a theatre company based out of the Twin Cities aimed at unraveling stigmas of mental health through storytelling by providing mental health-focused theatre performances and a variety of community engagements in a safe space.

The are storytellers bound to reignite empathy who invite you on a journey through the Wildwood to discover our truths in order to bring about action and change within ourselves and our communities.

creating a community

It took me nearly two years to find the organization I wanted to donate my acowsay “giveback” to. Not because there aren’t great organizations in the Twin Cites, but I really wanted to find one that resonated with me.

Mental health and the stigma that resides within it is overwhelming. Mental health is just as important as your physical health and should be argued that the two go hand in hand. The idea that mental health was once a “taboo” topic astounds me. We live complicated and messy lives that are filled with endless ups and downs, feelings and emotions. To say that you have it figured out 100% of the time is unrealistic. It’s okay to ask for help.

The Wildwood Theatre is a perfect place for those seeking that help. They allow for a safe + open space to start the conversation, to tell your story, to hear others story, to realize you are not alone.
