And the emmy goes to…

acowsay was proud to receive 4 Emmy nominations in 2022 and awards in three of those categories! The films that were recognized by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Emmys are below. We hope you enjoy watching them as much as we did creating them.

Having also received Emmy awards in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2017, acowsay’s total Emmy count is 11. We are so honored to be recognized each year for our work.

2020 health and sciences - warrior jake

LLS National | 70th anniversary Films

warrior jake

When Jake and Ben Rodriguez were two years old, their mom, Erika, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Erika passed away due to complications from her AML. Sam Rodriguez (Jake and Ben’s dad) met Katie through LLS. Sam and Katie got married while still keeping Erika’s memory alive through their twin boys and LLS. In Fall 2018, Jake started having trouble breathing and a trip to urgent care revealed a large mass on his chest x-ray. Jake was admitted to Children’s Hospital with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. The Rodriguez family continues to fight in honor of Jake and in memory of Erika.
