Every Meal
More than 300,000 children in Minnesota live with food insecurity. Every Meal is on a mission to change that by filling the food gaps school-age children face, especially on the weekends. Through their Weekend Meal Program, volunteers discreetly place bags full of nutritious, delicious, and relevant food directly into the backpacks of students across Minnesota – so they return to school on Mondays ready to learn and grow. We’re proud to partner with Every Meal to help further their mission and feed more Minnesota students.
Every Friday on the bus ride home, Tony's friends chat about bike rides, sleepovers, and trips to the park, while he's wondering how long the food at home will last. That worry doesn't stay on the bus. It follows him into the classroom, making it harder to focus, learn, and just be a kid. Every Meal fills that gap by delivering a bag of nutritious food directly into backpacks before kids head home on Friday.

Inside the minds of students, this piece illustrates how food insecurity often shows up in the classroom – in quiet distractions and worried minds. When a child is hungry or uncertain about their next meal, learning takes a backseat. Every Meal works to fill that gap by focusing on filling the food gaps children face, especially on the weekends.
